    Raiders picks

As a fan of the Raaaaaaaaaaaiders I was very pleased by the draft. This was the best draft in years, and as a bonus we got rid of a cancer. Anybody know what the over under is on how many games it will take for Moss to be causing trouble?

They did have a very good Draft. The Pick up of J.Russell will make them a big time team.

I hated the Zach Miller pick. I realize they wanted a TE but they could have probably got one later in the draft with similiar abilities. Miller is a good blocker thats going to catch some short passes. Hopefully they arent looking for him to stretch the field. Id compare him to Desmond Clark or Jermaine Wiggins.

No they were looking for a blocking TE that can can go short over the middle. I like the pick.

I don't know about a big time team quite yet. I think setting a goal of being a 500 team this year would be about right. Maybe Al for once will let them develope this group and work for the future.

Yeah if they were looking for that type of TE then thats what they got. Although you usually dont use 2nd round picks on blocking TE's.

What are they doing about the LT situation?

    Re: Raiders picks

I think the Raiders are in the best shape they've been in sine thier last SB year. After that loss everyone knew they would have to rebuild...it's not like 3-4 down years wasn't expected. IMO they have the components in place now to maybe contend for a WC spot this year...and a BIG TIME contender next year and the year after...BTW the Raiders have a history of picking better in round 2 than round one and I think Zach Miller will be a huge boost in the years to come...

    Re: Raiders picks

Yeah, I didn't like the Zach Miller pick in Round 2, I was hoping they would go for a Tackle, they could have picked up a TE in Rounds 4-5.

As for the situations with Moss, he won't cause trouble if they are winning which puts him in a good situation with the Pats. I am pleased overall with the Raiders Draft. I wish they could have gotten more than a 4th Rounder for Moss but at least we got something.

    Re: Raiders picks

With the maturation of Boothe and McQuistan and the offseason moves, I think the Raiders feel that they have addressed the OL situation...hope they are right.

A wild card spot? Thats a tough one to call. Russell is a big time pick, but can he be protected and which WR is going to step up?
